The APX battery system

Thanks to its modular concept, the APX system can be used flexibly and extended as required. A battery tower can be built with at least one and a maximum of 6 storage modules. One power module is required per tower for operation. This must be purchased separately. An additional base is required for floor mounting.

Flexible expansion

The Growatt APX battery system offers flexible configuration options. These can be extended from 5 kWh to 30 kWh. The simple, modular design makes installation and extension very straightforward using cables. Another advantage of the new storage system is that, unlike other systems, a battery cabinet is no longer required. Only a battery base is required for secure support. The APX series supports the combination of mixed battery packs from new and old batches, as well as different capacities.

Long service life

The APX battery system is based on cobalt-free LiFePO4 chemistry and offers a four-stage protection mechanism via a battery management system (BMS), modular energy optimisation, fuse and aerosol. This ensures greater safety, reliability and long life. Modular energy optimisation ensures that the system makes full use of the energy in each individual battery. Whether the solar system is grid-connected or stand-alone, the Growatt storage system offers several advantages over conventional lead-acid batteries and other lithium technologies.

Soft start to protect the system

The soft-start mechanism is a protective feature used on the Growatt battery to protect the system from voltage surges. When the battery is started or powered up, the power supply is gradually increased to protect the system from damage that could be caused by a sudden voltage spike. This ensures smooth and safe operation of the battery system.

The APX battery system uses cobalt-free LiFePO4 chemistry and four-stage protection via BMS, a modular energy optimiser, a fuse and an aerosol to ensure improved safety, reliability and long life. In addition, modular energy optimisation ensures that the system fully utilises the energy in each pack, mixes packs from new and old batches and mixes packs of different capacities, providing the most flexible system application.
